Validation for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 driver for Linux was originally focused on executing test passes towards basic functionality against all distributions since 0.40.

Since the release of the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 driver for Linux, the validation effort has been combined with this driver to ensure that both drivers continue to increase in quality.

We plan to run automated basic acceptance tests (ABAT) against each release of the driver to ensure that basic functionality is present.

Our goal is to gather results from running the ABAT against as many Linux OSDs and hardware types as possible. If you'd like to help, feel free to download the script from:
http://www.bughost.org/ipw/validation/abat/ABAT.txt
and mail your results as well as hardware vendor and model, version of driver tested against, and OS/version used to Salwan Searty.

Nov 01 2004 Full test pass completed against 0.56
A full test pass was run by Yan, Nan against the version 0.56. Detailed results can be found here. Test pass summary: 153 test cases run. 137 test cases passed ==> 89.5% pass ratio. General comment is that most features are working well, except for 802.1x.

Aug 23 2004 Test pass stats for 0.52
The 0.52 test pass used the new tests from the ipw2200 validation website. Results are in the format defined by those tests. Only 802.1x tests were run.

Aug 23 2004 Test pass stats for 0.51
The 0.51 test pass used the new tests from the ipw2200 validation website. Results are in the format defined by those tests. Only WEP, IBSS, Promiscuous Mode and Rate Scaling tests were run.

Jul 20 2004 Test pass stats for 0.49
The 0.49 test pass used the new tests from the ipw2200 validation website. Results are in the format defined by those tests. Only power management tests were run. Results are available at: 0.49 test pass.

Jul 09 2004 Test pass stats for 0.48
The 0.48 test pass used the new tests from the ipw2200 validation website. Results are in the format defined by those tests. Only BSS and SSID tests were run. Results are available at: 0.48 test pass.

Jun 10 2004 Test pass stats for 0.46
The 0.46 test pass focused only on the new functionality of the modprobe parameters. Results are available at: 0.46 test pass.

May 26 2004 Test pass stats for 0.45
The 0.45 test pass focused only on ensuring basic ad-hoc mode functionality was present. Results available at: 0.45 test pass. Black test results indicates that the test was not run.

May 17 2004 Test pass stats for 0.44
The 0.44 test pass focused only on ensuring basic promiscous mode functionality was present. Results available at: 0.44 test pass. Black test results indicates that the test was not run.

May 06 2004 Test pass stats for 0.42
The 0.42 test pass focused on power management, WEP, and data transfer. Results available at: 0.42 test pass. Black test results indicates that the test was not run.

Apr 23 2004 Test pass stats for 0.41
The 0.41 test pass is complete. Results available at: 0.41 test pass.
